1972 Pontiac LeMans revived after being parked for 20 years
This 1972 Pontiac LeMans is set to be given a new lease of life after spending two decades parked in a dilapidated barn.
The poor old Pontiac had been left sitting in a collapsing barn in Whitewright, Texas, for 20 years.
The LeMans was covered in a thick layer of dirt and grime, as well as piles of junk.
Thankfully, it has now been rescued and will be revived and restored to the once-magnificent muscle car it was.

The 1972 Pontiac LeMans was in a sorry state
We’re big fans of a restoration project – whether it’s a teen working his magic on a Tesla Model 3 or an iconic piece of automotive history being restored to its former glory.
So, it was great to see this 1972 Pontiac LeMans being rescued from a falling-down barn in Texas by the team from the Restored YouTube channel.
The guys were called out by Ken Cramer, the son-in-law of Pontiac LeMans’ owner, who was desperate for the car to be rescued before the barn collapsed completely.
“It’s in a dilapidated barn, it is starting to collapse,” Ken said.
“I’m worried that the building is going to collapse on the car itself, we really want to get this building down before someone gets hurt.
“I don’t have time to work on it and I want it to get saved.”
As you might imagine with so long off the road, the vehicle wasn’t in the best state, and alongside the usual sort of dust and dirt you’d expect it was also piled with rubbish and junk.
The car was carefully rescued and will be revived
Ken said the car had been bought by his grandmother-in-law brand new in 1972 but when she became too old to drive it ended up being left inside the barn where it spent the next 20 decades.
Getting the Pontiac LeMans out of the barn was the first challenge and the team from Restored was forced to whip out some chainsaws to cut through trees and branches to allow a clear path for the car to be pulled.
Next, they had to tackle the rubbish, leaves, dirt, and other assorted junk that had gathered on the hood of the Pontiac.
After adding some air to the tires, the vehicle was carefully pulled out of the barn and is all set to get a full restoration.
