An ultra-rare 1969 Ford Capri is for sale in the UK
A truly stunning 1969 example of the iconic Ford Capri has recently surfaced on Facebook Marketplace in the UK.
Located in Arundel near Littlehampton, the listing claims this is just one of just 14 in existence.
The listing expands on the classic car’s history, claiming the Ford has undergone an extensive restoration that the sellers say is ‘highly doubtful’ to be as high a standard as any other Capri.
Remarkably, the total cost of the restoration was around £60,000 ($74,000), and the car emerged from the workshop looking better than new.

The 1969 Capri Has Less Than 3,000 Miles On the Clock
The Facebook Marketplace listing details the Capri’s ‘like new’ condition. Incredibly, the car has just 3,500 km on the clock, which is roughly 2,100 miles.
The work done reflects the newness of its appearance, with the car boasting new panels, floors, arches, seams, and much more.
While this does remove some of the car’s originality, the work ensures it should serve its new owner for many years, provided it doesn’t become a ‘garage queen.’
Only 14 Of These Particular Capri’s Are Left
As the listing says, a Google search details just how rare this Ford really is.
It is a 1969 Capri 1300 L; the version of the Capri offered the smallest engine possible, which was a 1.3-liter powertrain.
Beyond that, the 1300 L had a long hood to hide the fact it had a small engine, plus a few other extras such as its revised wheel trims and body side moldings.
The sports car also had a novelty for its time, which was its locking gas filler cap.
The 1969 Capri 1300 L Comes With A Full Restoration History
The Facebook Marketplace listing goes on to say that the Ford does come with extensive paperwork.
That paperwork includes the history of the particular car and the history of its restoration, which details what work was done to the Ford.
Every inch of the car is now immaculate, from the leather seats to the outside paintwork and even the carpets.
Due to its rarity and desirability, the dealership selling the Capri is requesting viewings by appointment only. Currently, the car is listed at £42,000 ($52,000), which further highlights the sports car’s rarity.
